was a start up business launched in April 1987 to meet the needs of a new government initiative to get unemployed people back to work! Few of those involved at the time expected that when the local economy entered better times the need for its services would continue. How wrong we were about the need to get unemployed people back to work, and the demand for our services.
Since those early days when the Company began operating LAGAT has grown into a main employer and to one of the best quality providers of training services to businesses, schools and learners in the county of Lincolnshire.
Along the way we have trained thousands of learners in a vast range of skills including many
managers and senior staff, who themselves have achieved a great many Nationally Recognised Qualifications.
Today the LAGAT Group employs over 40 full time employees and has a very successful subsidiary recruitment company by the name of Quest (operating from its base in Lincoln) which serves hundreds of employers in the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff.
In 2005 a management buy out (from the original shareholders, Lincoln Chamber, Simons Construction and Lincoln Co-op) by Hannah Spencer, Martin Hodgkinson and Graham Bratby has seen the company kick forward, doubling in size in the last few years. The company and its team have placed themselves in the heart of the local community, participating in various ventures and building a better future for the local community.
Today we are celebrating the first 25 years of the LAGAT Group. Hannah, Martin and Graham want to thank all the people that we have worked with during these years and will continue to work with for
many years to come.
