Apprentices earn a wage alonside experienced staff and in turn gain job specific skills. Off the job, usually a day or part release basis, apprentices receive training toward a nationally recognised qualification. Anyone living in England, over 16 and not in full time education can apply.
At Lagat, apprenticeships can take between 1 and 2 years to complete depending on the level and award taken, personal ability and the industry sector can influence these timeframes.
The minimum salary an apprentice can expect to earn is £95 per week, however, many apprentices earn significantly more.

There are a number of key benefits from an apprenticeship:

Earn while you learn
Get paid holidays
Receive training
Gain recognised qualifications

Employers all over the country recognise and value apprenticeships as they show you have been trained in the skills you need. Once you've completed your apprenticeship, you can chose to carry on working, undertake more advanced training or go on to higher education.

Your employer will provide you with on the job training and pay your wages. LAGAT will be responsible for the rest of your training and ensuring you progress to completing the apprenticeship framework. We will appoint a dedicated training officer to you who will act as a mentor to act as a guide and work with your emplyer to make sure your training is well planned .
